During the month of Karkidakam, Ganapathy Homam and Bhagavathy Seva are conducted daily, besides lighting of the chuttuvilakku by the devotees.
During the month of CHINGAM on ATHAM day, which is considered to be the birth day of the main deity, besides special poojas and offering of PARA, a feast (prasadaootu) is also conducted by the trust. On this day the sankalpa murthees namely KIRATHA MOORTHY SRICHAKRA MOORTHY, AVATHARA VISHU, AYYANKARA SHASTHAVU, YASKSHI , AISWARYA YAKSHI & AISHWARYA GANDHARVAN are propitiated with a ritualistic offering.
Illom Nira and puthari nivedyam are also performed during the month of CHINGAM.
During NAVARATHRI festival Bhajans are conducted by various organizations on all days including VIDYARAMBHAM. On the last three days Saraswati pooja is performed with children bringing their books for the pooja. On the last day Vidyarambham is solemnly observed The highlight of the festival comes on MAHANAVAMI day when hundreds of children under the guidance of acharyas chant the MOOKAMBIKA SAHASRANAMAM alongwith VIDYA GOPALA MANTRAM. The participating children are given a pencil, pen, a holy thread, saraswatha ghritham, theertham, trimaduram etc which is kept in the sreekovil of Kollur Mookambika Temple and after performing pooja by the acharyas there, is brought and distributed to the children, free.
During mandalam (vrischikam to Dhanu) besides chuttuvilakku, a SHASTHAM PATTU (AYYAPPAN PATTU) is also organized by the trust with the active participation of the devotees. On this day ASHTABHISHEKAM is also performed
AAYILYAM pooja is being conducted on all AAYILYAM days to propitiate the NAGA DEVATAS.
For the welfare of the devotees a special BHUVANESWARI POOJA is also being performed once a year |
